Des Moines, IA (June 30, 2008) - Meredith Corporation (NYSE:MDP) today hired Edward L. Munson, Jr. as General Manager of KPHO-TV in Phoenix, AZ.

Munson most recently served as Vice President of Sales for LIN TV Corporation leading the sales strategy for the group. His 17 years at LIN TV, working in progressively senior positions, brings a combination of sales and operations experience to Meredith. His roles included General Sales Manager and then General Manager of WAVY-TV in Norfolk, VA. He also served as Vice President of Television for the group overseeing half of its stations.
"KPHO has a strong legacy of serving advertisers and viewers, making it a station with great potential for growth. I look forward to leading that effort," said Munson.
