Nov 14, 2017
(NEW YORK, NY, November 14, 2017)—Time Inc. (NYSE: TIME) and Media Business Generators SA de CV will launch FOOD & WINE en Español, it was announced today. The magazine will be distributed in Mexico and will cover the best of what’s new in food, drink, travel, design and entertaining. Through a license agreement with Time Inc. and Media Business Generators SA de CV, FOOD & WINE en Español will be published monthly in Spanish.
FOOD & WINE en Español will include features from the U.S. edition of the magazine, as well as original content from Media Business Generators’ staff in Mexico. The magazine’s debut cover story reports on what the most important and relevant chefs in Mexico—Enrique Olvera, Jorge Vallejo and Elena Reygadas, among others—think about the present and future of the Mexican gastronomy scene, written by FOOD & WINE en Español editors Liliana López Sorzano and Sasha Gamboa.
“We are pleased to be partnering with Media Business Generators SA de CV to bring the FOOD & WINE brand to Mexico and beyond,” said Hunter Lewis, Editor-in-Chief of FOOD & WINE. “Mexico is one of the most vibrant destinations in the world for good reason, and we are excited for the opportunity to expand the FOOD & WINE brand, the premier voice in the culinary world.”
“We are honored and excited to be the first country in Latin America to have the FOOD & WINE franchise. At a time when gastronomy often dominates conversation and social media is sharing space with news and information, we find it extremely important to be in this new market as a trusted voice,” said Liliana López Sorzano, Editor-in-Chief of FOOD & WINE en Español.
A digital version of FOOD & WINE en Español will also be available on Android, iOS and Zinio. Visit www.foodandwineespanol.com to find the latest trends in food, wine, travel, recipes and videos.
