DES MOINES, IA (July 29, 2008) – Meredith Corporation (NYSE:MDP) today promoted Dalton Lee to Vice President of Finance for the Meredith Broadcasting Group. Lee currently serves as Group Controller.

“This promotion is in recognition of Dalton’s significant contributions to Meredith over the past seven years,” said Paul Karpowicz, President of the Meredith Broadcasting Group. “Dalton has done a great job overseeing the group financials, in addition to providing strong leadership and guidance to his staff and the business leaders at the stations. Most recently, Dalton has been instrumental in our cost-saving strategic sourcing initiative across the group.”

In addition to overseeing all financial activities, Lee is also responsible for strategic planning for the group. He will continue to report to Doug Lowe, Meredith Broadcasting Group Executive Vice President.

Lee has more than 20 years of experience in the broadcasting business. He joined Meredith Broadcasting Group in 2001 as Group Controller. Prior to Meredith, Lee served as Director of Finance at USA Broadcasting in Miami, FL. Other roles include Vice President of Finance at KDFW-TV in Dallas, TX and Business Manager at WHDH-TV in Boston, MA. Lee serves on the Board of Media Financial Managers Association (previously BCFM) – the industry's leading organization for financial professionals.
