LAS VEGAS, NV (October 1, 2008) - Meredith Corporation (NYSE:MDP) today promoted Acting General Manager Darrin McDonald to Vice President/General Manager at KVVU-TV in Las Vegas, NV.

“Darrin has extensive local experience and industry knowledge and the ability to make things happen,” said Paul Karpowicz, President of the Meredith Broadcasting Group. “I am confident in his leadership abilities to continue the growth of KVVU."

McDonald joined KVVU-TV as General Sales Manager in 2007, and was promoted to Acting General Manager in August 2008. Prior to working in Las Vegas, McDonald was General Sales Manager at Meredith’s KSMO-TV in Kansas City since 2004. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the broadcasting business, including a stint as station manager of an Omaha, NE, triopoly.
